Sikander Azam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan where he has been a faculty member since 2019. He also worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Physics, The University of Lahore, Sub Campus Sargodha, Sargodha, Pakistan. He was the Academic and Research coordinator at The University of Lahore. Azam completed his Ph.D. at the University of West Bohemia, Plzen, Czech Republic in the field of computational condensed matter physics. With a thesis entitled: First-principle studies of optical, thermoelectric and electronic characteristics of complex materials' in May 2016. As a postgraduate fellow, I was working on different projects, like thermoelectric properties and optical properties of bulk and also two-dimensional systems. He has also worked on organic materials. He participated in many international conferences and workshops throughout the world. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of Condensed Matter Physics and Material Science. Azam has served on roughly twenty conference and workshop program committees and served as the Program Chair for the International Conference in Women University Multan, Pakistan. Azam has so for published 110 papers in the international Journals with impact factor more than 320.
